Coaching Expense Reimbursement Policy

USA Swimming Meet (regular invitational):
The team will pay:

$70 per night for lodging (same gender coaches will share a room)

$ 5 for food on Friday night,$10 each night for Saturday and Sunday (coaches will also have the use of the hospitality room during the meet for some meals).

Current IRS rate for mileage to and from the meet

The above allowances are in effect as long as a minimum of five swimmers are entered in the meet.

 Divisional and State:

Allowances are the same as above with two exceptions:
No minimum number of swimmers required
The hotel allowance may be increased due to the usual higher cost for hotels in the Indianapolis area

 Sectionals and Senior Nationals:

Any swimmer who qualifies for one or both of these championships will have the right to be accompanied by his/her SDS coach. For any swimmer that attends the meet and is in good standing with the team, SDS will pay the coaching hours at their normal rate plus the lesser of ½ of the motel, food and travel expenses of the coach or $200. Additionally the payment is limited by the balance in the travel fund. Any amount not paid by SDS will be the responsibility of the family (families) of the swimmer(s) attending the meet.

For all meets:

Each coach attending any of the above meets will be paid his/her regular hourly contract payment for hours actually spent at the pool for warm-up, coaches meetings, and the competition itself.
