Summer Conference Policy

SDS is part of a summer conference league. During the summer SDS competes in dual meets against the other teams. The conference has a requirement that a swimmer must compete in half of the dual meets in order to compete in the summer championship meet.

 SDS requires that parents work at each home meet in which their swimmer participates. Parents can officiate (if a USA swimming official) or work at the clerk of course at an away dual meet to count toward their worker requirement for a home meet.

 Any SDS swimmer that meets the meet requirements must also have all dues and fees paid prior to the entry date for the conference championship meet in order to be entered in the meet.

 Meet clean up after home meets is the responsibility of SDS swimmers and parents. For each home meet a group will be assigned for clean up. When a parent has a child in the assigned group, it is the parent’s responsibility to stay after the conclusion of the meet to clean up the pool and camp areas.
